Inktober-Day 17: Llorona

I can't believe i almost forgot her. I used to be such a big fan of this character. In case you've never heard of the llorona, here's her story...

Once upon a time, in times when America was being discovered by the people in Spain there was this young beautiful native-american girl who fell in love with this guy from Spain. He loved her back, they had a couple of kids. But... when she asked him to formalize their love, make it public, and all, he said "sure! i'll just go get some cigars from back home and we'll do it when i'm back!" He married another woman. In her despair and sadness they say native girl killed her kids, drowning them in the river. Guilt hit her bad and she killed herself. After that day she became the llorona, crying at nights, asking for her children "Ohhhh....myyyy.... chiiiildreeeeeeen!"
It is said that there was a time were there was a curfew for people feared seeing her. She was a very bad omen. 
There are many variations of this story. But the basics remain the same.
